Deutsche Grammophon Receives Six Nominations for the 68th Grammy Awards

The 68th Annual GRAMMY Awards nominations were announced in a special livestream, honoring exceptional achievements in the recording industry. Deutsche Grammophon received six nominations across four major classical categories, showcasing its ongoing excellence in symphonic, operatic, and solo recordings.

The label’s acclaimed Shostakovich project with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Andris Nelsons earned three nominations this year. Yo-Yo Ma and Yuja Wang were both nominated for Best Classical Instrumental Solo for their performances of Shostakovich’s Cello Concertos and Piano Concertos & Solo Works respectively. The recording of Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District featuring Kristine Opolais, Günther Groissböck, Peter Hoare, and Brenden Gunnell was recognized for Best Engineered Album, Classical.

Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra received an additional nomination for Best Orchestral Performance for their recording of Messiaen’s Turangalîla-Symphonie. Also in this category, Yannick Nézet-Séguin and The Philadelphia Orchestra were nominated for their album Still & Bonds: Symphonies & Variations.

In the Best Opera Recording category, Jeanine Tesori’s Grounded earned a nomination featuring mezzo-soprano Emily D’Angelo, Ellie Dehn, Ben Bliss, Kyle Miller, and Greer Grimsley, conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin with The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.

Finally, ECM Records, distributed by Deutsche Grammophon, received a nomination for Best Album Notes for After The Last Sky with Anouar Brahem, Anja Lechner, Django Bates, Dave Holland, and writer Adam Shatz.

The 2026 GRAMMY Awards will be held on February 1 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
