Synopsis
The Cultural Arts Events Organizer (CAEO) proudly presents Opera Unveiled: Comedy and Tragedy on June 19 and 21, 2026, at the Musicartes’s Mirror Theater, SJG Building, Kalayaan Ave., Makati City. The production celebrates the beauty and emotional power of opera through scenes from some of the world’s most beloved masterpieces.

The performance is the culmination of a three-week intensive opera workshop led by internationally acclaimed Filipino tenor Arthur Espiritu. Modeled after renowned artist development programs such as the Royal Opera House’s Jette Parker Artists Programme and the San Francisco Opera’s Merola Opera Program, the workshop brought together ten of the country’s most promising young classical singers for advanced training and performance preparation.

Audiences will experience scenes from Puccini’s La Bohème, Bellini’s I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Verdi’s La Traviata, and Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore.
