Synopsis
Rising to international acclaim after winning Third Prize at the 17th International Fryderyk Chopin Competition in Warsaw, Kate Liu also received the Best Mazurka Prize and the Audience Favorite Prize through the Polish National Radio. Since then, she has toured extensively, performing at world-renowned venues including the Seoul Arts Center, Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, Warsaw National Philharmonic, La Maison Symphonique de Montréal, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Severance Hall, Kennedy Center, and many more.

Kate Liu has collaborated with esteemed orchestras such as the Warsaw Philharmonic, Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Cleveland Orchestra, and Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra. She is a regular invitee to the Chopin and His Europe Festival in Warsaw, and in 2024 she was awarded the Olivier Berggruen Prize at the Gstaad Menuhin Festival.

Born in Singapore, Kate Liu began piano studies at age four and trained at the Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School, earning her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Artist Diploma.

In 2025, she released her debut album featuring Beethoven and Brahms sonatas with Orchid Classics.

How are seat numbers assigned?

Seats are assigned in numerical order. If you have a preferred seat number, please send us your chosen seat along with your proof of payment. Seat preferences are granted on a first-payment basis.

How long is my seat reserved after checkout?

Your selected seat will be reserved for two (2) hours after checkout. If payment is not completed within this time, the reservation will be automatically cancelled. Should you need more time, you may request an extension using the contact details provided after checkout.

Are tickets refundable or transferable?

Tickets are non-refundable. They may be transferred by giving your e-ticket to another person. No replacement e-tickets will be issued. IDs will only be checked if the same e-ticket is used by more than one person.

When will I receive my e-ticket?

E-tickets will be sent to your email within one (1) week after payment confirmation due to increased order volume during the holiday break. Rest assured, your seat is secured once payment has been confirmed.

World-Class Pianist Kate Liu to Perform in Manila in May 2026

A celebrated performer since her participation in the 17th International Chopin Competition, Kate Liu has been praised for her notably deep sensitivity to the piano. Former gold medalist Garrick Ohlsson described her playing as, “I was in a dream state the whole time,” calling her rendition of Chopin’s Nocturne Op. 62, No. 1 “probably the best performance of that piece I’d ever heard live.”
